TOP BAR HIVE SWARM CONTROL and CRISIS MANAGEMENT

The honey flow has now started up here in East Central Minnesota. With that, we need to be on our toes to make sure that the bees have plenty of space, and try to keep them from swarming. Today, we are checking for signs of swarming, and if we find any, then we have to decide what to do from there. Also, I had a viewer contact me about an issue he is having with his top bar hives. So, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Let's start off on one way to minimize comb breakage off of the top bars.
