Drone Mystery Solved.wmv
Channel: Phil Chandler - Barefoot Beekeeper
People have always wondered why drone (male) honeybees have such large eyes - much bigger than those of workers - yet they do no foraging for food.
The usual explanation is that they need good eyesight to spot a queen bee in flight.
Now, for the first time on film, is evidence that there is quite a different explanation!
(Warning: not to be taken too seriously!)

Honeybee Removal Using Top Bar Hive
Channel: Patrick Thomas
This is a removal from under a mobile home in Lakeland, Florida. I used a top bar hive in this removal because I'm running out of Langstroth equipment at the moment. The beautiful new comb seen at the rear of the colony is mainly built with the flow we are having with Brazilian pepper at the moment.

Top Bar Hive - Bee Swarm Box
Channel: tompeyton1
A swarm box built so fit top bars from my hive.
The inside has old beeswax on it to make the box more attractive to the bees.
I have also attached some old comb from my top bar hive to the new bars with beeswax. This 'should' increase the success rate of bees swarming to this box.
The entrance holes are 12mm wide to prevent pests such as wasps, moths and beetles getting in. I can block the holes easily with a cork when transporting the box to my top bar hive.

The best book on Top Bar Hives
Channel: OutOfaBlueSky
I once thought about writing a book on TBHs, but then I found this book. It is the definitive book on TBHs and I can't write one better.
Unfortunately, not available on Amazon, only available at http://www.tbhsbywam.com/
I do not know the author and am not paid to endorse it. Simply it is a great book.

This event was presented by Moor Meadows, a group of people living on Dartmoor, Devon, who are working to restore some of the many meadows we have lost since WWII. The Moor Meadows group can be found here https://www.moormeadows.org.uk

Matt Chandler's Radical Reminder that "God Is For God"
Channel: Tim Challies
It takes two ingredients to deliver a message that really sticks. It takes the right message and it takes the right time. Matt Chandler’s 2012 sermon “God is For God” is an example of this kind of timely message.
This video was sponsored in part by the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where preachers train for biblical faithfulness and bold preaching. They are offering anyone who watches this video a free resource. Visit http://sbts.edu/challies.
